Originally I wanted to be an event planner, but after a year of working in an office I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. This was the best decision ever! I have taught Kindergarten, Fifth Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade on the west and south sides of Chicago. I am currently teaching Second Grade here at Peterson.

Once I graduated college I decided I wanted to travel and teach in another country. I worked as a summer nanny in Italy and while there I applied to teach at an International School in Milan. Once I received the job I packed up my life and moved. I decided to move back to Chicago June of 2017. A week after I moved back I had an interview at Peterson. I really enjoyed the positive atmosphere I couldn't be happier to be here.
"Coming from an International school I really loved the sense of diversity! The staff is very friendly and always willing to help."
Outside of Peterson I like to try new restaurants with my family. I also love to read and travel to new places.

Working in an education was not my original career path. After spending several years in the corporate world, I discovered my true calling in education. Transitioning to education brought me profound joy and a deep sense of purpose, as I found immense fulfillment in helping students thrive and reach their full potential.
Everyday in the classroom is an opportunity to make a difference. Whether it’s sparking a child’s curiosity, guiding them through challenges, or celebrating their success. The bonds I have formed with students and the joy of witnessing their growth has affirmed that this is where I truly belong.
What I love about Peterson is the strong community bonds and support we share. The rich diversity and vibrancy create an environment of inclusivity, making it truly special.
My favorite things to do outside of school is spending time with my family and two dogs, exploring new places, and trying new foods that I haven’t tried before.
