Thursday 7-26-19

Victor Elizondo, Project Manager, supplied the following update from the meeting on 7-26-19. Friedler will continue to frame and pour concrete the remainder of the week and the following. They will also fine grade and begin installing stone for the turf field. Turf installation is tentatively scheduled for 7/31.

Per our meeting discussion, most of the work will be complete by August 9th.

Some items that will not be complete are

  • Plantings/landscaping & garden fencing - CPS spec states this must be during planting season (September 1st or later). Garden fence will follow completion of planting.

  • Bridge & associated surface - Bridge has to be pressure treated and stained. Takes about 4-5 weeks.

  • Track surface and striping - need ~30 days after asphalt placement.

Week of 6-27-19

Friedler Construction is finishing concrete.

Week of 6-20-19

Friedler Construction is finishing the work on the sewers and starting to work on concrete.

Week of 6-13-19

The work on the sewer will begin on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.  Families should expect that Bryn Mawr will have a revised traffic pattern to accommodate for work on the sewers.  Cars will still be able to go both East and West on Bryn Mawr, and there will be flaggers to direct traffic, but drivers should expect delays.  It is likely that parking on Bryn Mawr also will be limited. Pedestrian traffic on Bryn Mawr will be diverted to the North-side of the street. The work on the sewers should be completed within two to three days.

Week of 6-6-19

Next week, excavation will continue on the Peterson Community Field.  Additionally, in the near future, families should expect that Bryn Mawr will have a revised traffic pattern to accommodate for work on the sewers. While this construction will inevitably pose some challenges for the community, Peterson is excited that it will reduce flooding on the field and help the surrounding parkway.  Thank you in advance for your flexibility and patience during this time.
